Cozumel on Mexico

Cozumel, a generally undeveloped Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, is a popular port of call for cruise ships, known for its scuba diving. In Arrecifes de Cozumel National Park, you will find dive sites around part of the Mesoamerican reef and submerged sculptures of the Museo Subacuático de Arte. Chankanaab is an eco-park surrounding a lagoon with underwater caves, home to dolphins, manatees and sea turtles.

Fascinating for its dual personality, Cozumel offers a strange mix - quiet and authentic neighborhoods that coexist with friendly playgrounds for tourists. Leaving the tourist area, you will find garages that still have shrines to the Virgin and a lively Caribbean energy in the air. And, of course, there are some epic experiences to do, such as diving in some of the world's best reefs.

If diving and snorkeling are the main attractions, the town square is a nice place to spend the afternoon. It is very rewarding to explore the less visited parts of the island by scooter or convertible. The coastal road leads to small Mayan ruins, a marine park and cliff-side bars, passing captivating landscapes along the unforgettable windswept shoreline. And if the nightlife has nothing to do with Playa del Carmen or Cancún, there is plenty to do after sunset.
